Kurt Regner is an associate faculty-in-residence in the School of Life Sciences, UNLV. His primary responsibility is teaching both non-majors and majors biology courses including Principles of Modern Biology, General Microbiology, Molecular Genetics and Techniques in Molecular Biology. Kurt was the PI of the NSF REU Site: A Broad View of Environmental Microbiology at UNLV (DBI 0649267 & 1005223) from 2007-2014. Presently, he is PI of a new REU Site, Mechanism of Evolution (DBI 13558896 2014-2016). To date, these two programs have provided research experiences for over 90 students and 16 past participants are coauthors accepted publications.
